The Motocross season will finish with an event of a different kind in 2012. Riders from clubs in the Southern Queensland will make the trip to Toowoomba to take part in the first Echo Valley Dual Challenge on the 8th & 9th December.
Traditionally motocross is an individual sport, however this event will give 2 riders in the same class, with the same bike classification the chance to team up on their own bikes and compete against other teams for trophies and prize money.
The event will provide something different for those who race and for those who watch as the riders share the racing. Riders will complete their set number of laps and then tag their team mate to complete the race. Riders will begin the race Le Mans style with trophies on offer for 1st to 5th in all 50cc & 65cc classes and prize money to 1st & 5th for Mini Lite (9-11yrs & 12-15yrs), Junior Lites, Senior Lites, Senior Open, Vets/Women & Recreational Class.
When entering for the Echo Valley Dual Challenge, riders will nominate their chosen club, points won by the teams will be also awarded to their club. At the end of the final race, points will be tallied and the Club with the most points will be announced the winner and will receive a club trophy.
